As a user, you only need to remember your camera's mount and nothing else. When you want to buy a lens, just tell the merchant the mount you need. If you can't explain it clearly, report your camera model to them. Lenses with different mounts are often not interchangeable, or if they can be used, the effect will be different, and the price will also vary. Merchants will clearly distinguish them and recommend reasonably.

③ Sony

Some people may be confused: not only do different camera manufacturers have their own mounts, but even different products from the same manufacturer have different mounts.
Actually, this is just like the doors in your home. The door of your home is definitely different from that of others. If you try to install your door on someone else's door frame, it won't fit. The entrance door of your home is definitely different in size from the bathroom door and the bedroom door, and they can't be installed on each other's frames either.
A reminder here: For lenses with the same brand and the same type of mount, APS-C format lenses cannot be used or are not suitable for full-frame cameras, while full-frame lenses can be used on APS-C cameras. (Hope this little "tongue twister" helps you understand.)
