Domestic lenses have been making continuous progress in recent years, and many lenses with excellent optical quality have been launched one after another. Quite a few of them can be comparable to original lenses, and even surpass them.
Among them, my favorite domestic lens manufacturer is Viltrox. In the early days, Viltrox was labeled as having outstanding cost performance with its 1.4 large aperture series lenses. The price was much cheaper than that of the original factory, and the image sharpness was also very good, but the performance in terms of color, purple fringing control, chromatic aberration, etc. was insufficient. What made me a fan of Viltrox started from its wide-angle lens 13mm F1.4, which had very good image quality and distortion control, and since then, Viltrox's reputation has been getting better and better.
Since the launch of the 75mm F1.2 super large aperture portrait lens, its performance in image quality, sharpness, color, purple fringing control, and chromatic aberration has been excellent, equivalent to a 113mm portrait lens.
What satisfies me the most is its purple fringing control. I have used the original 50mm F1.0 aperture lens before. The automatic 1.0 super large aperture lens is really very attractive, but its shortcomings are that the focusing is relatively slow and the purple fringing is very obvious when the aperture is wide open. However, the Viltrox 75mm F1.2 performs very well in both purple fringing control and focusing speed.
The following picture was taken with the 75mm F1.2 lens:
Viltrox continues to add lenses to its Pro series: the 27mm F1.2 lens.
With an equivalent focal length of 40mm, it is very suitable for being a daily carry lens, portrait photography, street photography, and night scene shooting. There is no lens with a 1.2 aperture in this focal length range from the original factory.
Are you looking forward to the upcoming Viltrox 56mm F1.2Pro lens? It is said that its weight and size are close to those of the 27mm lens.
